Remember that Miiverse debug menu?

Shortly after the Wii U's release in November of 2012, a NeoGAF user by the name of Trike found a way to access some sort of debug menu for the Wii U. Listed on the debug menu were a bunch of games titles:

Super Mario Bros. WiiU
metroid
Zombie
Yoshi's Island Wii U
Flipnote Studio
Donkey Kong
Wii Fit
Soul Hackers
resident evils
metal gear solid
Final Fantasy 3
Dragon Quest 10

Fast forward two and a half months to February of 2013 and where do we find ourselves? Super Mario Bros U is already out. Assuming Zombie is ZombiU, that's already out as well. A new Yoshi game is confirmed, a new Wii Fit is confirmed, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem fits the Soul Hackers bill, and we know both Resident Evil Revelations HD and Dragon Quest 10 are coming to Wii U. That's over half the games on the list. Does this give us a glimpse at Nintendo's future plans? Could Retro Studio's new project be another Metroid or Donkey Kong game? Could Ground Zeroes or Metal Gear Solid V be coming to Wii U? What about Final Fantasy?

Also consider, if they are all actually real games you'd have to take into account that "Soul Hackers" meant "Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem." I'm guessing that the farther out from release the titles get, the less literal their names would be. Final Fantasy 3 could just be a codename for the new Monolith Soft game, "metroid" could be a codename for Retro Sutdio's project (considering their previous involvement in the series)...Heck, "metal gear solid" could even be Metal Gear Revengeance.

Frankly, we probably won't know until E3 this year. But it's certainly interesting to consider...

What they should do, is just like the hair option make it an option to have it either way of your personal choosing. I blame the sensitive media and the perverts throwing the images of her assets around the web.

Three articles form the worse game sites I've ever had the misfortune of clicking on posted to N4G about this... I guess when you have no journalistic skills you got to rely on clickbait.

The game has an outfit that has her almost completely nude, if that doesn't make you happy then go watch some porn you sad t***s

I’m sick of all the censoring BS! Just let a sexy main character be sexy.

kythlyn1h ago

I'm more bothered by the bait and switch of the messaging and advertising than the change itself. The game still has an abundance of fan service, but clearly there have been changes made, and Sony needs to stop meddling across the board, not just in this, but in countless games they force developers to make conservative changes to.

badz1491h ago

You seriously blaming Sony for this? The snowflake loud minorities are the ones to be blamed. They aren't happy until they make every protagonist ugly and gay which is sad. Mind you, this is Shift Up first major console release. Can't blame them they don't want to upset anybody but all these sensoring and changes to please these snowflakes have gone too far imo. If you don't like it, don't play it! Stop trying to ruin it for the others just because you're pathetic and got triggered by everything!

GameBoyColor1h ago

i mean if sony is the one forcing the changes I think it's fair to blame them. Sony could easily just not censor it but they have a track record with telling companies what to do with their games now.

I think you should be more mad at a company bending the knee instead of the consumers with your mindset lmfao

Should have happened a long time ago. People wanting refunds after 50 hours in game.

Pc gamers will take this as an excuse to pirate things

KyRo3h ago

I'm not sure why you're getting disgrees. Whilst not all PC gamers are petty, an awful lot of them are lol

Crows902h ago

Entirely untrue. Not any more petty than console gamers. The only large difference is console gamers don't have much of a choice.

Daily reminder that 'TheGamer' is a corporate-generated, anti-gamer, anti-consumer, clickbait web site. They are mostly A.I. generated articles that villainize gamers. They provide nothing positive and actively try to provoke and divide the community through extreme view points and politics. Do not give them any clicks.

Inverno3h ago

Only scumbags? As if people don't play their games on console put in the most amount of hours and return it to GameStop and trade it in for another game. But also how many people are actually do this? And what games have been allowed to be refunded?

DustMan3h ago

You can refund any game you've purchased as long as it hasn't been longer than two weeks, and you've played less than 2 hours. I wish they would change it to 3 hours because some RPG's have so much exposition that you may only get an hour total of complete gameplay. That's my only knock on it. I've refunded plenty of stuff I was just curious to try. I typically stay away from Early Access titles which are the only ones affected by this policy change.

Inverno2h ago

Apparently early access doesn't count, only complete games with a play early preorder bonus.

Gaming4Life19813h ago

I definitely know if I want a refund in 2 hours.
